For centuries people have
speculated about the role of participation in effective
leadership. About 60 or 70 years ago, behavioral
scientists took up the challenge of systematically
measuring these effects and of constructing theories and
models to represent their findings. This effort has been
a global one with research being conducted in many
different countries.
The website is but one step in the evolution of this body
of knowledge. To acknowledge our debt to those who have
gone before, we present here a bibliography of related
research.
