Technical Data
In this section we present the six equations, which translate the situational analysis into predicted consequences. For a less technical treatment of these equations, select Theoretical Considerations. In the equations the following abbreviations are used:
DS: | Decision Significance |
IC: | Importance of Commitment |
LE: | Leader Expertise |
LC: | Likelihood of Commitment |
GA: | Goal Alignment |
LD: | Likelihood of Disagreement |
GE: | Group Expertise |
CT: | Interaction Constraint |
TC: | Team Competence |
VT: | Value of Time |
VD: | Value of Development |
There are five possible choices for ten of the situational factors and two for Interaction Constraint. In descending order, the alternatives are translated into the values 1 through 5. Prior to entering these into the equations, they are transposed as shown below:
Scale Values
DS | IC | LE | LC | GA | LD | GE | CT | TC | VT | VD | |
